This bowl is our best-selling product, and a solid foundation for your home collection. Originally designed to showcase pasta courses at the NoMad Hotel in Los Angeles, it features a wider basin and an elegant, sloping profile that’s suited to a variety of uses. Reach for it the next time you’re plating a juicy steak or serving oysters on a bed of crushed ice — it’s every bit as versatile as it is beautiful.

Weight: 773g

Wide-open and low-walled, 8.8 inches across, the form angles out from a modest foot into a smooth, unbroken lip. Nothing on the rim, nothing on the face — the bowl trusts the glaze to do the talking. It holds a full morning's cereal, a generous ramen, a salad for one.

Offered across the matte HUMO palette: a chalky Capuchino, a dry Taupe, a soft semi-matte Pardo, and the quiet weight of Semi-Matte Black. Small waves in the lip and faint throw lines on the inside are evidence of the maker. Dishwasher and microwave safe.

Care Instructions

microwave and dishwasher-safe

Although fired at 2192 °F (1200 °C) for durability, our ceramics still require proper care. Handle with care, avoid exposure to open flame or stovetops, and remember they are microwave and dishwasher-safe.

For oven use, always start from room temperature, preheat gradually, and never exceed 335 °F (170 °C). Allow pieces to cool slowly, as larger items are more sensitive to sudden temperature changes.

CUTLERY

We recommend 18/10 stainless steel cutlery. Avoid silver, gold, or copper-plated utensils, as they may leave surface marks. These marks are simply metal residue, not ceramic damage, and are not covered by returns or warranty.

They can be removed using Bar Keepers Friend or fine 1000-grit wet sandpaper.

UNIQUE

Our tableware is handmade, which means natural variations in color, texture, and finish are expected. These differences (whether between individual pieces or within a single item) are not defects but part of each piece’s unique character and value.
