At 11" the Sanka dinner plate opens up. The rim is low and continuous, the plane nearly flat — which is the point: this is a field to compose on. From the side it reads as a thin slab with three soft corners; from above, a rounded triangle settled into itself. A whole fish fits across the diagonal without touching the edge.

The HUMO glaze system is the palette — semi-matte Black for depth, Pardo for warmth, Capuchino and Taupe for a softer register. Stoneware. Fine speckling in the clay body reads through the matte surface as texture, not flaw. Dishwasher, microwave, and food safe.

Care Instructions

microwave and dishwasher-safe

Although fired at 2192 °F (1200 °C) for durability, our ceramics still require proper care. Handle with care, avoid exposure to open flame or stovetops, and remember they are microwave and dishwasher-safe.

For oven use, always start from room temperature, preheat gradually, and never exceed 335 °F (170 °C). Allow pieces to cool slowly, as larger items are more sensitive to sudden temperature changes.
CUTLERY

We recommend 18/10 stainless steel cutlery. Avoid silver, gold, or copper-plated utensils, as they may leave surface marks. These marks are simply metal residue, not ceramic damage, and are not covered by returns or warranty.

They can be removed using Bar Keepers Friend or fine 1000-grit wet sandpaper.
